What's in the name?

 

Booterbrod: [Russian, derived from German]

            An open-faced sandwich

            Freshly-baked rye bread a must

            Some ketchup and fresh garlic

            Veggies and meat are optional

 
 

Cherepashka: [Russian]

             A little turtle. Specifically,

             a Russian desert turtoise of

             about 20 years of age that I

             brought from Russia in a cake box.
